It's not just the weather!

Thursday, 24 May 2007

No, it is not just the weather that is getting depressing. So is your truly. I honestly dont have a clue why im just feeling depressed at the mo... I just am! I do have my abstract theorys though. Like the weather is to blame. Or that reality is setting in about my operation in exacally 40 days (but only 39 till I have to go to the hospital). But there are of course my, hopefully, more far-fetched theorys which I shall prefer not to disclose to all my avid readers just incase it IS true.... lets hope not!
Exams are coming up. Im currently working on my english essay which was due over 4 weeks ago! I also have to type up my S&E assignment and hopefully do better than Miss Megan F. who was the "exceptional student" in Mr Reapers S&E class last year. She got a level 7 for it! Thats like one higher then what I was getting by the end of last year! Oh well.... not to rub it in, but i WAS the best at S&E in our year last year. Lets just hope I can be this year too! Stupid operation..... stuffing up all these kinda things. Like my social life for example! I have just realised that there is only 6 weekends left till I go in. This weekend I'm busy and prob cant fit in another social engagement unless someone *cough*Ryan*cough* makes a better offer. And next weekend is our 4 day long long-weekend where the family, Kaitlyn and I are going to Two Rocks unless I have to work. So that leaves 8 days of social fun before my operation. I'm so going to have to plan another Italy bbq sometime! Will have to think about it later though, I have to get onto homework now as I have piano tonight and am already pretty tired....

maths debating

Wednesday, 23 May 2007

haha..... yeah. As you all should know (unless you are mentally retarded like Hockers) today is Wednesday!!! Therefore meaning I had double maths- which is a GOOD thing! I love maths now.... Well thats only because Jason and Hockers are in my class and we talk the whole time instead of doing our work. So thats what we did. Same talk as per usual. A bit of everything. Including music. Oh and jasons usual rambl about how Woolgar failed the date. Go Figure??? I still dont quite get it.
Oh and I accidently told Hockers that Jason likes (or as Jasons coverup "liked") Jess. Oh and I accidently admitted that I had liked Jason in year 8. But I did manage to NOT mention year 9 and 10 as well! But I'm like soo over him. I mean like despite Woolgar allegedly "failing" the date, he is still an awsome guy. And it is litterally breaking me that I havent seen him in over a month or had a proper, non-feeling-awkward convo for about a week! Allora... depressed at the mo too.... really wish I could talk to 'im and Deasy right now! Oh well... I shall have to get over it!

Dead Poets Society

"He was their inspiration. He made their lives extraordinary"

**** Stars

Painfully shy Todd Anderson has been sent to the school where his popular older brother was valedictorian. His room-mate, Neil, although exceedingly bright and popular, is very much under the thumb of his overbearing father. The two, along with their other friends, meet Professor Keating, their new English teacher, who tells them of the Dead Poets Society, and encourages them to go against the status quo. Each, in their own way, does this, and are changed for life.

A Sad Reality Check

Friday, 18 May 2007

And there is was. On the computer screen. My future. A dead straight back supported by two metal rods on either side and a few metal screws added in to hold the unnaturalness of it together.

And that was it. A reality check that possibly came a little too early for me. Maybe I would rather never see it. You cant even possible imagine what it feels like to see it there. And the doctor talking about it as if it happens everyday. Then again- for him it does. In. Out. In. Out. At least a hundred girls about the same age as me seeing him in a week alone. All the fate's the same as mine. Some worse off. Some better. But none the less- all the same. Counting down the days now there is only 44 days left. But 43 until I have to go into hospital.

A really sad reality check which prehaps hasnt sunk in much yet. July the 3rd is just another day for me.

But not really.

The missing illness

Wednesday, 16 May 2007

Withdraw symptoms include:
- Lonelyness
- Depression
- Chocolate Cravings
- High Expectations
- Feelings of excludedness
- Craving of the problem

The illness? Friends. But not just any friends, my Prendiville pals. Those kinda hearted guys who I had become best friends with over the 4 weeks I was in Italy. Oh I miss then dearly. All of them. It's horrible. And my friends who I've know for at most 3 years dont understand. And although they might say that "well Bec doesn't so why do you?" or at least think it- its because Bec WANTS to distance herself. She doesn't want to become too attatched. I have become closer to a group of people who I've know for the 4 weeks of the tour more than I know some of my friends who I've know for a year. I'm closer to some of my Prendiville friends than I am to my friends at school. And they just dont understand that. I find my self feeling very alone now. I'm distancing myself from my friends just because they dont understand this. I'm getting sad because I miss them SO much. I'm eating chocolate too... OH wait! thats normal. Well high expectations are a major issue. Maybe my friends aren't being as kind to me as I had expected? I mean JESS for crying-out-loud told me to stop going on about them! Excludedness is from the fact that I dont feel as if I fit in with them anymore. But I dont fit in with anyone else either- except those friends from Prendiville. Craving the problem- easy. I miss them all so much. I've changed so much since before we left for Italy. I'm, as you would say- more like Lizzie. I care less about deadlines, times and puncuality and I used to so much! I'm more free and relaxed now. I'm more hypo now. And I don't think my friends can handle the new me.

Oh well. There is really nothing I can do.

The Day in the Life of a non-crazy Kat

Tuesday, 15 May 2007

In contrast to yesterday, today I was docile. I personally blame the lack of snakes in the household + the fact that my ipod died this morning before I got to put on Chop Suey. Awww... depressed. Not really. I dont need sugar and music to make me happy in the morning. Well actually... I need music- couldnt live without it. But thats beside the point. Before homeroom, Jess and I walked past the infamous "Grey-Jumper Dude" aka Connor- the affection of Jess' heart! Well not really... she just thinks he's hot (but would say yes if he asked he out!) So me being slightly less hypo than yesterday started telling Jess how her future with him would pan out- only using Michael Buble song titles! Some titles included "Feeling Good", "Save the Last Dance for Me", "Moondance", "Call Me Irresponsible" and "Everything."
Today started with maths. But I was only in there for half the lesson before all us girlies had to go the the senior campus staff room for our cervical cancer needles. Unfortunantly for me, we had to line up in alphabetical order so me being a W had to go RIGHT to the end! Lucky for me though, Kaitlyn and Stacey had to go to the back of the line with me as there forms were lost! But by just before 10.30, we finally made it to the front of the line and I was ready to go in when.... my mum had forgot to sign the form! She had filled it all in, except forgot to sign it! So the nurse had to call my mum at work to ask her if she gave concent to *harm* me. It was easy as... well pie! She poked me, I reflexed, she took it out and I was sent to the couch area so they could make sure we were alright until they were satisfyed and we could go back to class! No pain what so ever! And everyone else was in pain... HA!
Not only did I get jabbed today, but I also got school photo's today! Yeah... we all got pulled up to get em since us Italia peeps missed them the first time around! FUN! Wish they'd given me a little warning! Jason wishes the same thing too as he commented that he wish he had done his hair this morning. For the sake of my class photo, I wished the same thing too. THEN ITALIANO!!! YAY! Fun! Really, no sarcasm there. And... I wish to challenge Ryan's statement saying that "indeed is infatti in Italian." I am led to believe that indeed is, indeed, davvero in Italian! Oh snap! take that!
Then I went home... and my non-hypo day was infact non-hypo. THEN... around 4.30, I got a call from Red Rooster in Malaga asking if I was free of Thursday night to come in for an interview!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My first ever job interview!!!! I'm so excited, that I just cant hid it!

Haha... the "Rusty" Gates comercial is on!!! GO ALEX DRAYTON!!!

The rein of Rainy!!!

Monday, 14 May 2007

Today I was hypo. Full Stop.

I was insane you know. Nothing could control my urges to sing in a different key to the real song or dance the most unruly dance moves that would be banned in any public area. But you know, the route of my problem was simple. 3 Natural Confectionary Company snakes + Chop Suey!- System of a Down= Kat crazy before school.
Then once I arrived at the good old school yard I was shivering beyond all wits and somehow was hanging around with Jemma, huddeling in front of the heater outlet in front of science block, before seeking "refugee" in Bec's care where she detailed a rather exciting weekend in Mandura texting the no-gooder-drug-taker she calls a work mate. What was worse? On one hand I had the saftey of Jemma who I hadly knew, thinking "AHA!" I have found only thy second out of 2000 Ballajurians with a Pommy accent. But on the other hand there was Bec who, most unfortunantly, will mot be under Jesse and my care for much longer. But alas, I was saved when we met the rest of the group and shortly after Jess and I departed to the depths of the class we call homeroom.
Once in homeroom, the newly titled Mrs MacDonald handed out the best gift possible- our log books for community service. 20 hour, 3 years. Sounds easy enough. Expecially for me, when Concert Band and Jazz Band are counted! 2+1.5= 3.5hours per week that makes. Meaning I can cross off my community service in 5.7142857 weeks!
Then along rolled first session- science. Mr Herbert came in late- as usual and asked us a simple question: "Can you guys smell gas?". And the simple question came with an even more simple answer- YES! So we were all bundeled up and sent out side where we were to shelter incase the building blew up!!! Unfortunantly for us, the building didnt blow up inevitably creating a fireworks spectical, so we were hurdled back into class where we had to start our science velocity sheets. After a boring science I was rather looking forward to maths where Jason may infact teach me some very important life lessons.
But to my dismay, I suffered an exually boring maths lesson where Jason was moved before he got a chance to sit down! And I had to suffer and hour sitting next to Amy working on my "Find the Rule" in almost silence. At this stage of the day I thought I was slowly slowing down as I sat in silence, snapping at Jourdan in English, listening to Mrs Harris discuss politics and its relationship to our novel. Oh but was I in for a surprise! Double sport tipped me over the edge and over the over the edge!!! Indoor soccor seems a relativly tiring exercise. But not for me. It really did the opposite! Running up and down and up again and down again, up, down, up, down. I was going mental! Then we had a short break in which we titled "Lunch". After the so called "Lunch" we headed outside to play soccer again!!! I stole Kaitlyn's sunnies and was pretending to be in the hood yo, you know like a real gangsta!!!
Then the bits inbetween 3.00 and 6.00 are unimportant so I shall skip that part. But at 6.00 I headed back to school where I was to watch "Dancing with the Staff" with Jess and Melissa. "Harry" (Mrs Harris) and Mr Herbert were in it. All the dances were awsome. All the costums, although slightly revealing for some, were awsome! And it really was a really enjoyable night! Mr Rains took out the 2007 Dancing with the Staff title, dancing with Alleisha Carruthers... well thats all! night!!!

The History Boys

Sunday, 13 May 2007

"History is just one bloddy thing after another."
****1/2 stars
In 1980s Britain, a group of young men at Cutlers' Grammar School all have the brains, and the will to earn the chance of getting accepted in the finest universities in the nation, Oxford and Cambridge. Despite the fine teaching by excellent professionals like Mrs Lintott in history and the intellectually enthusiastic Hector in General Studies, the Headmaster is not satisfied. He signs on the young Irwin to polish the students' style to give them the best chance. In this mix of intellectualism and creative spirit that guides a rigorous preparation regime for that ultimate educational brass ring, the lives of the randy students and the ostensibly restrained faculty intertwine that would change their lives forever.
Featuring:

Samuel Barnett as Posner
Samuel Anderson as Crowther

Jamie Parker as Scripps
Dominic Cooper as Dakin
Sacha Dhawan as Akhtar
Stephen Campbell Moore as Irwin

Hello World!

Monday, 7 May 2007

Welcome to my 5th blog!!! I’m hoping this one is a little more successful than the previous 3!

A little History lesson:
My first blog started for no important reason really. That was pretty good- I was kinda good at keeping it up for the first week or so… then I only posted when I could be bothered. My second blog was to be the sequal of the first, starting with the New Year. But somehow I locked myself out of that so it had to be deleted! Then we come to my last blog- Kat’s Corner. That was dead as! I think I only posted 3 blogs all up… but oh well! Fingers crossed this one is more successful!!!!

A History of ME:
I was born in November in Perth, Western Australia. At the age of 3 we moved to the little town of Kalgoorlie-Boulder where mum had a job opening with the Australian Electrol Commission. Dad was to start teaching computering at Curtin University. We lived in Kalgoorlie for 6 years, but moved back to Perth when I started year 5.I then started year 5 at Ballajura Primary School where I graduated from at the end of year 6. I then progressed to Ballajura Community College, just up the road, where I am now- 4 years on!Throughout my life I have made the most wonderful friendships and bonds. Particular so, Kaitlyn who I met in Day Care in Kalgoorlie who is a long time family friend and moved to Perth with us shortly after we did. Then I met Stacey on the Orientation Day for year 7. Next came Jess who was in my year 7 class, funny enough, Stacey and Jess were best friends so I made friends with both of them. Next in line was Jesse who I met in P.E.A.C. We were on the Graduation Production Course and made kinda of friends there too when we sung the line “mother, father!”Then by chance have it, Jesse and I were in the same year 9 class where our friendship grew. Along came Sam, the new kid from JSR. The only reason he started hanging around us was because he was hiding from one of the girls who had a mad crush on him! Then Bec, a year 9 class mate of mine joined our group- bringing Thersa and Hayley. They both also knew Sam from gymnastics. Then Jesse finally joined the group. My friends are the best- really. I couldnt possibley live without them!

So that’s basically me!
